New Online Courses Provide Opportunity to Strengthen Faculty Development Strategies
November 2, 2021—Recently developed online courses provide STFM members with an opportunity to enhance their teaching skills and academic knowledge on a self-directed digital platform. Each of the 7-hour courses covers several key topics through a variety of modalities, including interactive modules, video interviews with experienced faculty, readings, and self-paced assignments.
The Faculty Skills Course includes time management, incorporating students into your clinical workflow, academic and professional advancement, and writing for academic publication.
The Intro to Medical Education Course includes advising medical students, LCME and COCA requirements, medical students in difficulty, and assessment and evaluation.
STFM members receive reduced course pricing, and the courses are designed to allow learners to work at their own pace and return to the resources as often as needed.
