Academic Family Medicine Advocacy Committee

Represents the interests of family medicine by setting advocacy priorities and communicating them to appropriate government agencies

Oversees DEIA activities and specific underrepresented in medicine (URiM) activities for the Society, including oversight of antiracism projects, the STFM Diversity Award, URiM Leadership and Mentorship programs, and accessibility work.

Provides insight and resources to address the needs of family medicine residency programs and educators; provides oversight for the Residency Faculty Fundamentals Certificate Program, the Residency Accreditation Toolkit, and Faculty for Tomorrow activities

Provides insight and resources to address the needs of family medicine departments and educators, plans the Conference on Medical Student Education, and organizes the STFM track for the National Conference of Family Medicine Residents and Medical Students
