Apply to be an Instructor for the STFM Residency Faculty Fundamentals Certificate Program

August 28, 2024—STFM is now accepting applications for an instructor for the popular Residency Faculty Fundamentals Certificate Program. The program's 14 self-led, online modules provide training for new and early career faculty, covering:
- The structure and requirements of residency education
- How to be an effective and efficient faculty member
- The nuts and bolts of curriculum development and teaching
- Strategies for assessment, feedback, and remediation of residents
The Residency Faculty Fundamentals instructor will provide timely feedback on assignments submitted by program participants. The instructor must be (or have recently been) faculty in a family medicine residency program with expertise in billing and documentation requirements, recruiting and interviewing residents, scholarly activity, curriculum development, didactic teaching, and giving feedback.
The instructor will serve a 3-year term, with the option to serve for an additional 3-year period. The time commitment will vary, but is estimated at about 10 hours per month. The instructor will receive a $1,000 honoraria per year.
