Scott Fields Lecture
The Scott Fields Lecture was established in 2021 as a program component of each STFM Conference on Medical Student Education to honor the generosity and body of work of Scott A. Fields, MD, MHA, to STFM.

Legacy of Dr Scott Fields and Vicki Fields
In appreciation and recognition of his leadership and generous contributions of time, talent, and resources to medical student education, STFM and the STFM Foundation created the Scott Fields Lecture to take place each year at the STFM Conference on Medical Student Education. Scott A. Fields, MD, MHA, is a national leader in medical student education and the former vice chair of the Department of Family Medicine at Oregon Health & Science University.Dr Fields has been a major contributor to the advancement of STFM. He served on the STFM Board of Directors as a member-at-large from 1999–2002, the President-Elect from 2007–2008, President from 2008–2009, and Immediate Past President from 2009–2010.Dr Fields also served on the STFM Foundation Board of Trustees from 2017–2024. He was the Board of Trustees treasurer from 2019–2020, vice president from 2020–2022, and president from 2022–2024.Dr Fields and his wife Vicki Fields recently provided a generous donation to the STFM Foundation to support the honoraria and travel of the conference’s plenary speaker. They are members of the STFM Foundation Legacy Society for putting the Foundation in their will.
